our story
25 YEARS OF GROWING INNOVATION.
Pascal PELESZEZAK
Plant Engineering Designer
For more than 25 years, Pascal Peleszezak has been developing innovative solutions to bring vegetation back into even the most constrained urban spaces.
From research and design through to implementation in France and internationally, his work has been guided by one conviction: vegetation belongs at the heart of sustainable cities.

A story of innovation rooted in soil, water and plants.
2000
THE FIRST ROOTS
Development of a biodegradable planting mat designed to conserve water, reduce maintenance and improve soil quality.
2003
FROM GROUND TO VERTICAL
First experiment in vertical planting for the “Mosaïculture Internationale” exhibition in Montreal, for the City of Lyon.
2005
THE LIVING WALL BECOMES A TECHNOLOGY
Initial research with the City of Lyon and the University of Savoie, followed by the development of a patented living wall system using a semi-continuous substrate with integrated irrigation.
2010
INNOVATION GOES INTERNATIONAL
Living wall solutions are deployed in numerous countries for public, private and institutional projects.
2011
PLANTS AS AN ACOUSTIC SOLUTION
Participation in the European HOSANNA project on reducing noise in urban environments. This research led to a Silver Decibel Award from the French National Noise Council in the “Acoustic Materials” category.
2013
WATER AND RESOURCES AT THE HEART OF THE SYSTEM
Research into water management and the recovery of organic waste, leading to further development of the system in compliance with NF U 44-051 and NF U 44-095/A1 standards.
2016–2017
GREEN SENTINEL
Green Sentinel SA is founded, along with the development of a natural-substrate system featuring dual continuity, both vertical and horizontal, to promote plant growth.
A new patent is filed in 2017 and subsequently granted at European level in 2019.
TODAY
BRINGING COOLER, GREENER SPACES TO CITIES
With more than 25 years of expertise, Green Sentinel continues to develop new urban greening solutions to provide shade, cool hard-surfaced urban spaces and support biodiversity.
INTERNATIONALLY
From Lyon to Shanghai, from Japan to Chile, the solutions developed over the years have been implemented in a wide variety of urban environments.
